TRAILS IN BLM'S CAMPBELL TRACT

Here's a map showing the main trails in the BLM'S Campbell Tract. The area is in the heart of Bicentennial Park. While it is not technically part of Bicentennial Park, most park users can't tell where one part begins and the other ends.

The area can get busy. It is an important part of the competitive dog mushing trail system originating at the Tozier Track. There are frequent orienteering, running and mountain bike competitions in the area. These events work around heavy use by casual runners, hikers and skiers.

Notice the pink part of the map. That belongs to teh Municplaity of Anchorage's Heritage Land Bank. While it is looks just like park land now, it is land that can be sold, leased or developed by the city without the restrictions put on parkland.
